Victoria Beckham Reveals the Secret Behind Her 'No Smile'

Victoria Beckham's stern expression at photocalls has become a hallmark of her public appearances. What was previously unknown is that there is a deeper reason beyond projecting a specific image. The designer herself has disclosed in an interview with 'The Telegraph' that the absence of her smile is due to insecurity. David Beckham's wife recalled her skin issues during her youth, when she suffered from acne, which led to an insecurity she described as 'problematic' and made her feel 'very uncomfortable' in front of photographers' lenses.

"I probably looked serious in many photos, but I was very uncomfortable," she admitted. However, this was not the only consequence in her life, as her acne-prone skin also influenced her diet: "It was because of my skin that I became very careful about what I ate," she acknowledged.

Nevertheless, over the years, Victoria has managed to feel more confident in her own skin: "If someone had told me a few years ago that I would walk a red carpet to receive an award wearing just a bit of concealer and no foundation, I would have thought you were crazy, but that's what I did last week," she highlighted.
