San Vicente del Raspeig Allows Division of Waste Collection Fee into Two Payments

San Vicente del Raspeig Town Hall, through the Tax Management area, has requested the collaboration of SUMA to split the payment of the urban solid waste collection and treatment fee (RSU) for the current fiscal year 2025 into two instalments.

The Councillor for Tax Management and Treasury, Isabel Domínguez, announced that SUMA will send two bills to the residents of San Vicente. The first bill, amounting to 50% of the fee for each household and business establishment, will begin processing this week. The council has confirmed that all bills will be available by March 5, and residents will be informed that approximately on May 2, half of the service fee will be charged to those with direct debit payments. Other users will have until May 9 to make the payment through the established procedures.

The second voluntary payment period, covering the remaining 50% of the fee, will be sent from July 25, ensuring the bills arrive throughout August, with collection expected in the first ten days of October. Until this year, the Town Hall, through SUMA, sent a single bill in April, but this year a staggered payment procedure will be implemented, delaying the full receipt of this fee into the municipal coffers until autumn.

Domínguez stated that "this is a measure taken by the Government team to provide more ease for the residents and businesses of San Vicente in managing the fee during a year when it increases due to the application of a state regulation that requires the full cost of the municipal waste collection and treatment service to be reflected in the bills."

The Councillor for Tax Management added that "faced with this situation, we are trying to take measures to mitigate, as much as possible, the impact that the waste fee will have on family finances, including the division of the fee payment into two instalments."
