San Vicente to Open Two New Cafeterias in Sports Facilities

San Vicente's Governing Board has approved the initiation of a process for the contracting of two bar-restaurants at the Manuel Guijarro Velodrome, located in the southern sports complex, and at the new municipal sports pavilion. The Architecture department has set a concession duration of 4 years, without extensions, with fees starting at 10,500 and 14,600 euros per year, respectively.

The mayor and Infrastructure councillor, Pachi Pascual, stated that "this is another step to improve the services provided to the public from the municipal sports facilities and, in the case of the Pavilion, it will be the first time a cafeteria will be available on the ground floor."

Meanwhile, the Sports councillor, Ricardo Bernabeu, confirmed that in the Southern Sports Complex "all necessary steps are being taken to make the bar available to all users again and to improve the facilities with gardening and maintenance work."

Bernabeu assured that "repair work has begun on the deficiencies detected inside and outside the complex with the help of different departments to recover these infrastructures, following a period of private management, and thus allow sports practice with all guarantees."

Another commitment of the Sports councillor is to "revitalize these facilities, and this is already being done with the hosting of various sports events there, such as provincial futsal leagues, regional track cycling events, and, this past weekend, the 5K 10K race that brought together over 2,000 people, including attendees."

Regarding the technical study to analyze the condition of the southern sports complex, Bernabeu stated that "it is well advanced." The councillor explained that "with this document, we will know what the next intervention priorities are for the facility, and, in parallel, work has begun on granting the management of the gym."
