The San Vicente Town Council has obtained new accreditations from the Servei Valencià d'Ocupació i Formació (Labora) to offer a greater number and variety of training specialties aimed at unemployed individuals in the municipality who wish to improve their employability prospects.
The Councillor for Employment and Local Development, Lourdes Galiana, explained that "to be able to offer these programs, we must meet a series of requirements and have sufficient spaces accredited by the Valencian agency. On this occasion, we have managed to increase the number of accredited classrooms, allowing us to offer a broader range of courses."
The new training specialties approved include Community Engagement, Promotion, Programming and Development of Cultural Activities, Promotion of Educational Leisure Activities for Children and Youth, and Document and Office Management Assistance.
Galiana explained that "the next step is to apply to LABORA for subsidies for mixed employment and training programs with these specialties, so we can launch a program with a greater diversity of options for job seekers."
The councillor stated that "the main objective is to continue offering improvements that benefit unemployed individuals and, secondly, contribute to revitalizing our local economy."
