San Vicente to Break Records in Hogueras with the Three Largest Mascletàs in Its History

San Vicente Town Hall continues its efforts to enhance the Hogueras and Barracas Festivals of San Vicente del Raspeig with the firing of the three largest mascletàs in its history on July 18, 19, and 20 at the Juan XXIII park roundabout. With nearly 350 kilos over the three days, a new record will be set.

The Department of Festivals has committed to modifying the three main displays to reach nearly 130 kilos of gunpowder by Sunday. As approved this Thursday in the Government Board, the main mascletà will be handled by Fuegos Artificiales del Mediterráneo, recent winner of the mascletàs competition held during the Fogueres de Sant Joan in Alicante.

On Friday, July 18, the festival will be opened by the pyrotechnics of Alto Palancia, who will bring a display of around 100 kilos to the Juan XXIII park area, lasting nearly seven minutes. The second day will feature Coeters Dragón, who will make San Vicente vibrate with 112 kilos of gunpowder for over six minutes.

The councillor responsible for the area, Cristian Gil, acknowledged that "in a few weeks, we will celebrate mascletàs that have few precedents in our municipality." He explained that "this is another step in the determined effort to position our Hogueras and Barracas among the main celebrations at the regional level because we are convinced that our traditions and festivities also help us grow and promote San Vicente as a city of services, commerce, and hospitality."

Gil reported that "this is no coincidence, as our goal since last year was to bring the best mascletàs to San Vicente, a fundamental pillar to continue enhancing this celebration with an eye on becoming a reference." The councillor invited all citizens "to enjoy three shows that will be the highlight of these festivities."
