San Vicente City Council will unveil improvements at the municipal Auditorium this Friday, marking the occasion with the first concert to celebrate the feast of Santa Cecilia, performed by the Acordeón Vivo Association.
Mayor Pachi Pascual expressed his delight that "at this time we can reopen the Auditorium doors to once again offer this space to all musical and cultural groups, specially prepared for concerts and rehearsals, which has been updated over the past year thanks to grants from the Alicante Provincial Council through the Plan Planifica."
Pascual detailed that "with an investment of over 500,000 euros, adaptation and accessibility works have been carried out to bring the Auditorium up to new standards and allow people with reduced mobility to enjoy these municipal facilities."
The works include the installation of an elevator to the basement, replacement of seats, and improvement of finishes in visible elements such as flooring, cladding, and painting, as well as essential services like plumbing, sanitation, and lighting. On the upper floor, the amphitheater for spectators, restrooms, and control and projection rooms have been renovated.
The auditorium was visited by the mayor, accompanied by the Culture Councillor, Óscar Lillo, the president of the La Esperanza Musical Society, Juan Guijarro, and representatives of the town's cultural associations who were invited to see firsthand the improvements made to the refurbished facilities.
