Valencian Community, through Turisme Comunitat Valenciana, promotes its business tourism offerings at the IMEX Frankfurt fair; a specialized event in the MICE ('meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions') sector, which will be held from May 20 to 22 and is considered one of the most important fairs in Europe for this product.
The IMEX fair, held annually in Frankfurt since 2002, has established itself as the leading showcase for event organizers, companies, specialized agencies, and marketing professionals interested in discovering new proposals and ideas for organizing meetings, corporate events, and product presentations.
Turisme Comunitat Valenciana participates in this fair within the Turespaña stand, which hosts 'Conventions Bureau', associations, and tourist brands. Over the three days of the event, more than 100 professional meetings and appointments are scheduled in the Valencian Community's MICE space, aiming to generate new business opportunities and visibility for the destination's specialized offerings.
The participating entities in this edition include: Valencia Convention Bureau; Benidorm Convention Bureau, along with Meliá Villaitana and Four Points By Sheraton Costa Blanca; Alicante Convention Bureau, accompanied by Hotel Hospes Amérigo and Blue Valley Watersports DMC; Elche Convention Bureau and the Costa Blanca Tourism Board, with the attendance of AR Hotels, Poseidón Hotels, and Estimar Hotels.
Also attending are the Valencia Conference Centre, Feria Valencia, Hosbec, the Provincial Association of Hotels and Tourist Accommodations of Alicante (APHA), and Valencia Premium.
Additionally, within the framework of IMEX Frankfurt, an event organized by the Spanish Tourism Office in Frankfurt and the Meliá chain will take place, aiming to bring together exhibitors participating in the Turespaña stand with international MICE sector agents to generate synergies and contacts.
MICE, a Key Product for 'De-seasonalization'
The Regional Secretary of Tourism, José Manuel Camarero, emphasized that attending this fair "is part of Turisme's product promotion strategy with a special focus on the MICE product."
For Camarero, "this product, which shows a positive trend for the Valencian Community reflecting the improvement in air connectivity, allows for strengthening the de-seasonalization of the sector and also contributes to increasing the average tourist expenditure."
"The MICE industry is constantly evolving, driven by changes in demand, technological innovation, and new client expectations," stated the Regional Secretary, who believes it is "crucial to be at these types of events to understand and anticipate the evolution of this product."
José Manuel Camarero also highlighted the importance of the German market, noting that attending IMEX Frankfurt complements this week's promotion in Munich, where Turisme gathered nearly a hundred German tourism agents and media to promote the Valencian Community.
