Stellantis NV and Ayvens have initiated a collaboration for the refurbishment of vehicles returned at the end of their rental period, destined for a new contract.
Thanks to this collaboration, Stellantis vehicles rented by Ayvens will be refurbished at the Circular Economy Hub in Mirafiori, Turin. The 5,000 square metre area dedicated to vehicle refurbishment will also accommodate Ayvens' vehicles, with an initial volume of over 1,000 vehicles per year.
Used vehicles destined for rental will first undergo thorough inspections and then be refurbished with specific mechanical and bodywork interventions.
In addition to this service, customers choosing the used vehicle rental solution will benefit from periodic mechanical and bodywork checks at workshops authorised by the Stellantis Group.
The Circular Economy Hub in Mirafiori is a pioneering initiative by Stellantis, located in the historic industrial complex of Turin, Italy. This centre is dedicated to the remanufacturing, recycling, and reuse of components and vehicles, aiming to promote a circular economy in the automotive industry.
"This collaboration with Stellantis represents a further step in the development of our business model, focused on managing vehicles from the first rental cycle. It is exclusive for a rental operator like Ayvens, and we are confident that this collaboration will bring benefits to both parties and the sector. Our goal is to extend the lifecycle of vehicles and promote their reuse. For several years, we have launched the service of re-renting used vehicles through a careful selection process focused on quality and efficiency, with a pricing strategy aimed at customers seeking these solutions. Not to forget that all this also represents a virtuous process and, therefore, a true driver of the circular economy," commented Antonio Stanisci, Commercial Director of Ayvens Italy.
The alliance stems from a common interest in promoting sustainable business through the adoption of the circular economy model aimed at maximising the lifespan of components and vehicles, reducing waste and the demand for new raw materials, while offering more accessible products and services.
According to both companies, Stellantis vehicles rented by Ayvens Italy will be refurbished at the Circular Economy Hub in Mirafiori, Turin. Customers will benefit from the quality and expertise in vehicle refurbishment with interventions in both the mechanical and aesthetic parts of the bodywork, carried out directly at the Stellantis plant.
