Discovering how the financial sector operates from within, acquiring key practical knowledge, and opening doors to a career in banking. This is the triple aim of a training programme that the University of Alicante (UA) will launch this May.
As a result of an agreement with Caja Rural Central (CRC), the CRC NextGen programme is aimed at third and fourth-year students in fields related to economics, business, and law. It will be held at the University of Alicante's facilities with the participation of 30 students. In addition to specialised training, students who excel during the programme may access paid internships at Caja Rural Central.
The training journey begins on Tuesday, May 13, with an immersion into the present and future of banking. Participants will gain in-depth knowledge of CRC's business model and the major trends transforming the financial sector, from digitalisation to sustainability. On the same day, they will delve into essential financial products, such as insurance, mortgages, and basic services that form the foundation of the relationship between banks and their clients.
On Thursday, May 15, the focus will shift to the world of investment. Students will discover the main tools for successfully managing capital, from fixed income to investment funds, and explore how to design portfolios tailored to different client profiles. It will be a key day to understand the importance of solid and personalised financial planning.
The third session, on Tuesday, May 20, will address the role of banking in the business sector. Financial solutions that drive business growth will be analysed, from credit lines to structured finance. Subsequently, attendees will learn the keys to risk management in the financial sector: how to identify, evaluate, and minimise them to ensure the stability and sustainability of banking entities.
Finally, on Thursday, May 22, the programme will focus on customer experience. Discussions will cover how to build loyalty and generate value through personalisation, digitalisation, and proximity. The day will conclude with a reflection on CRC's corporate culture, highlighting the ethics, leadership, and values that underpin work in the financial sector.
