The so-called Bunker Imprint, created by Bunker Custom Cycles from Turkey with its unique shapes, has been crowned the winner of the Honda Customs 2024 contest.

The 2024 contest has surpassed the success of previous editions and focused on the CL500, a Scrambler-style motorcycle with evocative design details from front to tail. Developed under the guiding principle of "Express Yourself," the CL is an ideal base for the contest, serving as an open invitation for customers (and professional customizers) to fully exercise their creativity, self-expression, and individuality.

With 9,383 votes (37% of a total of 25,558 received) on hondacustoms.com, the Bunker Imprint showcased a contemporary retro café racer style, making a 180-degree turn from the Scrambler roots of the CL. The Bunker team used the stock model and added a custom semi-fairing made of fiberglass-reinforced nylon, 3D printed via FDM, new side covers, an impeccable belly pan with faired exhaust, a new tail section, and a modified seat.

The victory of Turkey's Bunker Imprint reflects the growing interest and demand in the motorcycle market in this country. In 2023, the Turkish market exceeded 530,000 units, accounting for 38% of the 1.3 million sales recorded in the rest of Europe.

This figure is based on exponential growth, nearly tripling the market compared to the previous year (190,000 in 2022) and reaching almost four times the figure of 2021, which was 140,000.

Çetin Kardes, General Manager of Honda Turkey's Motorcycle Division, commented: "It is a true honor for us to have won this award, which reflects our vision and goal of creating a unique and healthy motorcycle culture in Turkey. We will continue to work very hard to keep expanding the world of motorcycles in our society. I would like to extend my gratitude to everyone who contributed to this success."

Meanwhile, Spain competed with a model called Enduro 500 which ultimately finished in fifth place. This model embodies very well the scrambler style of the CL and was designed to strike a chord by evoking memories of a beautiful golden era in motorcycle history. With spectacular paint design on the fuel tank, an elevated front fender, headlight with grille, custom number plates, several handmade parts, and an Arrow exhaust silencer, the Enduro 500 was a creation by Stilmoto dealership in San Sebastián.

This year, 25,558 people visited www.hondacustoms.com during the summer to cast their votes, an increase of 18% compared to last year, with nearly 7,000 people downloading the customized wallpaper of their chosen bike.

The very different color palettes, design details, and aesthetics of these five CLs are proof of this platform's versatility as a base for customization and a clear manifestation of its development theme: "Express Yourself."
