It's already part of the family. Your dog accompanies you every day, almost in all the plans you make. So when you go on holiday, it's also logical that you want them to come along, but what is the best option? Travelling in a camper!
Firstly, you can adapt it to your own pace (and theirs). There are many types of dogs, each with special needs: they may need long walks to stretch their legs, frequent stops for their needs, or travel at a certain speed to feel comfortable. You know that when travelling in a camper, you set your own pace: plan the trip to suit them, make the stops you need, and change the route if it will be better for you.
Bring everything they need to feel at home. And by everything, we mean everything: their water bottle, toys, favourite food, and anything that makes the journey as comfortable as possible. As roadsurfer reminds us, your only limitation will be the space in the camper (and we assure you, it fits more than it seems). Moreover, in specialised stores, you will find many accessories for travelling with pets.
Although there are many types of trips to take with your camper, most of them touch nature, as many camping areas are located there, offering more freedom of movement. Let your dogs discover the scents, run through the slopes, and even interact with other dogs (a classic within campsites). They might be so happy that you have to extend your stay longer than planned.
It often happens that in daily life, you can't spend as much time as you want with your dogs. Work, social life, and daily obligations are to blame. When travelling with them, all of the above disappears: you can spend the whole day together, in a different place, creating new dynamics and establishing an even stronger connection between you.
Roadsurfer notes that practically any destination will be good for travelling with dogs. Unlike some hotels, where you may have more difficulties getting pets accepted, most campsites and camping areas welcome them with open arms.
In fact, it is most common to find many more people with their dogs, making it a good opportunity to interact with them and meet new people.
If it's your first trip with dogs, we recommend that it lasts only a few days (you'll have time to make it longer) and not too far from where you live, so both you and they have that sense of security.
Additionally, with roadsurfer, you can rent your camper or motorhome in Barcelona, Bilbao, Madrid, Malaga, Seville, and Valencia: all of them have a city full of plans and nature around them: the Madrid mountains, the beaches of Catalonia, or the greenery of the Basque Country will be some of your best options.
