The breakdown of the high-speed train 6545 Alicante-Madrid Chamartín, operated by the French company Ouigo, has caused 45-minute delays for other long-distance trains that need to use track II, according to sources from the Railway Infrastructure Administration (Adif).

The train experienced an issue at 17:11 and stopped at the exit of Jardín Botánico on track I (Standard Gauge), resulting in 20-minute delays at Atocha's departure, with trains only able to circulate on track II, the same sources indicate.

Finally, the train resumed its journey after a support train was sent to assist the stranded train from Madrid-Chamartín station, although delays have now accumulated to 45 minutes for long-distance and AVE trains.
