Tragedy on the A-31 in Alicante: One dead and two injured after veering off the road and crashing into a tree

Tragedy on the A-31 motorway in Alicante near Petrer. A vehicle veered off the road and, after breaking through the fence, crashed into a tree. This accident resulted in one fatality and two injuries, all three occupants of the car.

The Alicante Provincial Fire Consortium received the alert about this accident at 11:05 a.m. this Tuesday. The crew rescued two victims trapped in the vehicle, one of whom was deceased and the other extricated. A command unit and a heavy urban pump were used.

The Generalitat's Emergency Information and Coordination Centre (Cicu) also intervened after receiving the traffic accident alert. A unit of the Emergency Medical Care Service (SAMU) and another of the Basic Life Support (SVB) were dispatched to the area.

Upon arrival, medical personnel confirmed the death of one of the vehicle's occupants, a 48-year-old man, and attended to two other injured individuals.

One is a 48-year-old woman with trauma and a 66-year-old man with bruises. Both were transported by SAMU and SVB, respectively, to the Elda Hospital.
