Traffic on Soto Ameno Avenue in San Blas is now reopened. The City Council announced this after it had to close the road due to a sewer collapse that caused the road to sink. The incident, which occurred on September 30, forced changes to bus lines 5 and 12, which have been running on their usual routes since late Friday.

The local council explained that the collapse caused the road to sink, necessitating the replacement of about 23 meters of sewer on this artery connecting San Blas with Doctor Rico Avenue. Traffic has been restored since late Friday.

The collapse of this underground channel forced changes to urban bus lines 5 and 12, which had to establish alternative routes. Aguas de Alicante was responsible for resolving this issue to resume traffic on this road in San Blas, "shortening the expected repair times by several days," according to the council.

The urban bus transport concessionaire, Vectalia Mia, has also proceeded to restore the usual routes for these two lines, informing users through its website https://alicante.vectalia.es/alertas/ and the information system on the vehicles themselves.
