Benidorm City Council announced this Friday that traffic has been restored between the Raphael and La Razón roundabouts, in the Poniente area closest to the AP-7 motorway junction, following an incident involving a heavy-duty crane that forced the closure of this section on Thursday. The accident occurred in the morning when the vehicle's arm struck the motorway bridge as it passed underneath, according to municipal sources.

Several units of the Local Police and Civil Guard, Firefighters, personnel from Roads and the Society for Digital Transformation Projects, as well as the first deputy mayor, Ana Pellicer, and the mobility councillor, Francis Muñoz, were dispatched to the scene, which resulted in no personal injuries.

Around 10:30 PM yesterday, the City Council and Local Police decided to reopen traffic on three of the four lanes of the road once it was confirmed that circulation could safely resume.
