For the third consecutive year, Toyota Spain leads the market in 2024 with over 100,000 units registered, solidifying its position as the best-selling brand and the fastest-growing among the top 10. It has set a new record with 103,832 units registered, marking a 22% growth.
Being the top-selling brand for nine months of the year, and achieving a historic record in December with 11,249 registrations, Toyota Spain surpasses the figures achieved in 2023 by more than 19,000 units.
Additionally, in this second quarter of the year, Toyota Spain has also improved its growth by 14.7% compared to the share obtained in the same period of the previous year.
In Spain, the Toyota Corolla consolidates its essential role in Toyota's success by positioning itself not only as the best-selling Toyota model with 22,348 units registered but also as the leader of the C segment, one of the most significant sectors in the Spanish market, with a lead of over 10,000 registrations above its predecessor.
Alongside the Corolla, the Toyota Yaris Cross achieves one of its best records, being the most sold Toyota model to private customers, continuing its success as a reference in the B-SUV segment with 12,711 units.
With over 3,000 units sold, Toyota's plug-in hybrid range — Toyota C-HR Plug-in and RAV4 Plug-in — positions itself as one of the most valued brands of 2024 in PHEV -Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles-.
Eight out of ten Toyota vehicles sold in Spain are electrified, a trend maintained since the arrival of the fourth generation of Toyota's hybrid technology in 2017.
Toyota Spain, with its two plug-in hybrid models, the Toyota C-HR Plug-in and the Toyota RAV4 Plug-in, is committed to a multi-technology strategy, which has positioned it in 2024 in the PHEV market as one of the most valued brands in the plug-in hybrid range.
The Toyota C-HR Plug-in closed 2024 with 2,079 units registered in its nearly first year of life. Meanwhile, the Toyota RAV4 Plug-in accumulated 1,388 units registered, with a growth of 37.56% compared to the previous year. Both models complete 2024 with 3,467 units sold.
Toyota's electric range, with the Toyota bZ4X, the first Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) developed by Toyota, registered 135 more units compared to 2023, with a growth rate of 70%.
The brand's best-selling models were the Yaris range, Yaris Cross, Corolla family, Toyota C-HR, and the RAV4, which represented 83% of Toyota's total sales.
