The Town Hall Square Hosts a Community Health Day on June 4th with Workshops, Information Stands, and Lectures

On June 4th, the Town Hall Square in Alicante will transform into a major meeting point for health professionals and the public. From 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the heart of the city will host the third edition of the Community Health Days, organized by the Alicante-Sant Joan d'Alacant Health Department in collaboration with the Town Hall.

Throughout the morning, there will be practical workshops, information stands, and activities aimed at all audiences, with the goal of bringing healthcare to the streets and promoting healthy living habits. From advice on nutrition or disease prevention to first aid training, the program covers a wide range of useful and participatory proposals.

The Councillor for Health, Cristina Cutanda, has encouraged Alicante residents to join the initiative. "These are very interesting activities that promote a healthy lifestyle and allow us to get to know the work of our healthcare professionals up close," she noted, also highlighting the Town Hall's involvement in providing public spaces for the event.

Nearly fifty professionals from different categories, belonging to five basic health zones in Alicante city —Gerona, Santa Faz-Town Hall, Pla, Juan XXIII, and Cabo Huertas— as well as from Xixona, Mutxamel, El Campello, and Sant Joan d'Alacant, will participate in the event.

Additionally, the Alicante Blood Transfusion Centre will set up a mobile point for blood donation, and the various health centres in the area will provide information about their programs and services.

Meanwhile, the Puerta Ferrisa Auditorium will host a series of brief and informative lectures focused on family and community health throughout the different stages of life. Professionals from Primary Care and Public Health, as well as representatives from associations and users, will participate with the aim of collectively reflecting on the current and future challenges of community-focused healthcare.
