The tension among citizens regarding the current Government and the Koldo case has also reached Alicante. After several days of continuous information bombardment about the UCO report, there have been numerous protests against the current Central Executive due to alleged corruption within the socialist party's leadership.

In addition to social media messages and protests held in Madrid, outside the PSOE headquarters, posters directly targeting the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, labelling him as 'corrupt', have been put up.

Thus, Orihuela woke up this Friday covered with these posters that mimic the typography of 'The Godfather' movie. Featuring Pedro Sánchez's face and a flower on his suit, in true Corleone style, the poster directly accuses him of being 'corrupt'.

The poster highlights government scandals, such as the Begoña case, the Attorney General's case, or the case involving Sánchez's brother. Additionally, the Koldo case is crossed out and rewritten as 'PSOE case'. Next to it, there is also a QR code leading to the website elcapo.org.

These posters were placed overnight in the city's urban area, in various public spaces such as walls and railings in the historic centre and along the riverbank. The local council ordered the immediate removal of these posters early in the morning.

Orihuela's mayor, Pepe Vegara, condemned the action, describing it as 'intolerable, disrespectful, and completely detached from the civility and political ethics that should prevail in our town'. The Local Police of Orihuela are investigating who might be responsible for these acts.

In this regard, the mayor also calls for public cooperation to identify other locations where these posters might have been placed. In fact, he himself removed some he found on his way to the Town Hall. 'Orihuela does not deserve these kinds of anonymous and cowardly campaigns that only seek to generate hatred and division,' he concluded.
