The new KGM Torres EVX is a 100% electric SUV that promises to redefine value for money in its segment. With a starting price of 34,500 euros (excluding Plan Moves and financing), this model stands out for its unprecedented warranty: 7 years or 150,000 km for the vehicle, and 10 years or 1,000,000 kilometres for its battery.
The Torres EVX embodies the "Powered by Toughness" design philosophy, blending a robust and modern aesthetic with cutting-edge technology. Its design pays homage to the brand's Korean identity, celebrating three decades of presence in Spain this year.
Inside, the SUV offers a spacious and ergonomic cabin, dominated by a dual panoramic digital screen for the instrument panel and multimedia. Comfort is assured with electric and ventilated front seats, reclining rear seats, dual-zone climate control, and a generous boot space of up to 839 litres.
Under the hood, it features an advanced "Cell to Pack" battery technology. Thanks to this battery and a 152.2 kW (207 hp) electric motor with 339 Nm of torque, the Torres EVX can achieve a range of up to 635 km in the WLTP urban cycle. The motor and battery of the KGM Torres EVX are a strong point of the model, utilising technology from China's BYD, although both are manufactured in Korea at KGM's own plant.
It uses a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, known for its durability, thermal stability, and safety. It incorporates BYD's "Cell to Pack" direct integration technology, enhancing efficiency and safety by optimising space and cooling. The battery's net capacity is 73.4 kWh and operates with a 400 V electrical architecture.
It offers a combined range of 462 km, which can extend up to 635 km (thanks to greater efficiency in low-speed environments and frequent stops).

Regarding charging, in alternating current (AC) it supports up to 11 kW (three-phase), allowing a full charge in about 9 hours (ideal for a domestic Wallbox). For fast charging in direct current (DC), it reaches peaks of up to 120 kW. It allows charging from 10% to 80% in approximately 37 minutes (and in just 28 minutes for 10-80% at 350kW, and 42 minutes for 10-80% at 120kW).
In terms of safety, the model comes equipped as standard with a comprehensive ADAS package, including eight airbags, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, cross-traffic alert, blind-spot assistant, and automatic emergency braking at intersections. Its structure is reinforced with 81% high-strength steel.
Additionally, the Torres EVX offers practical solutions such as a smart tailgate, wireless charger, 360º vision system, and the V2L (Vehicle to Load) function, which allows the car's energy to power external devices.
In practice, the car, with its large size and stature, moves very smoothly both in urban environments and on the road, as we were able to verify during the dynamic test around Madrid. It also allows, through paddles on the steering wheel, to adjust battery regeneration, so we can easily control efficiency and consumption in a simple way. The model's price starts at 34,000 euros.
The vehicle also has a commercial Van combi version, where the average range is 441 km, almost double that of its main rivals. It is also approved as a taxi, priced at 26,000 euros (+VAT), with the attractive offer for professionals of having a million-kilometre battery warranty, making it a robust and highly competitive electric solution in the SUV market.
