Hercules' victory in Alcoy (1-2) after thirteen years has restored faith in the squad and among the fans. The setbacks against Sevilla Atlético and Recreativo de Huelva have been rectified in the best possible way, as the triumph in the provincial derby breaks a curse of nearly fifteen years. It seems that Ruben Torrecilla's team will not struggle to secure the 45 points needed for safety. Regarding the possibility of fighting for promotion, the Extremaduran coach acknowledged in Alcoy that both he and the squad were excited. "Hercules must be in professional football, we all know that. Now we have 38 points, eleven matches left to play, and we can dream. We must take it game by game and not look too far ahead. Castilla, in great form, is coming to Rico Pérez next, but we want to keep growing and see how far we can go," he stated.

Torrecilla expressed pride at El Collao for achieving victory with ten players from last season's lineup. "It's not easy to achieve that. The human group is excellent, they are teammates, they feel the badge, and they have a great sense of belonging. I am fully committed to them, and we will see how far we can go," insisted the Hercules coach.

After the victory in Alcoy, the blue and white team now faces a decisive and particularly demanding stretch in the calendar, as they will test their strength against four clear candidates for promotion: Castilla, Ibiza, Ceuta, and Antequera.

"In Alcoy, we made a statement and want to continue making Hercules great," emphasized Torrecilla, highlighting the competitive spirit shown by his team at El Collao: "It's a very challenging field due to the concentration it demands. I'm glad to have broken that thirteen-year curse of not winning here, and we all deserved this joy, both my players for all their hard work and our supporters, who have once again taught us a lesson. We practically played at home, even though we came from two defeats. The fans are the heart of this club; I said it from the first day I came, and they deserve all the good that can come their way."

For the clash against Castilla this Friday (8:30 p.m.), Hercules will be without defender Abraham del Moral and forward Yanis Senhadji, both due to injury, and the suspended Josema. The presence of attacking midfielder Antonio Aranda and forward Dani Romera, absent in Alcoy due to various issues, remains uncertain.
