Intense festive agenda this weekend of events at the Hogueras de San Juan in Alicante. The anticipation of the main days of the city's official festivities is palpable, with activities ramping up from both the Federació de Fogueres and the committees of bonfires and barracas.
Friday was very special, with the proclamation of the Hogueras by fashion designer Rubén Hernández, delivering an emotional speech about women in the Fiesta. The event was preceded by the second edition of Música per a la Festa, gathering a thousand musicians who performed the anthem of the Hogueras and the Proclamation Parade, from Plaza de España to the Town Hall.
This Saturday was the turn of the Ninot Parade, one of the most popular and entertaining events of the Hogueras. The fantasy, illusion, and boldness of the festival-goers were on full display in a colorful event that filled the official route, where the committees enjoyed themselves immensely.
