Alicante-Elche airport is experiencing a remarkable period. After closing a record year in 2024 with 18.4 million passengers, a highly positive high season is anticipated with 14.7 million seats scheduled for travel between March and October.
With the high season just around the corner, Ryanair, the main airline at Alicante airport, has launched a new offer, adding to the 20% discount for tickets to Northern Europe.
This is a special offer for Easter travel to Europe. From Saturday, February 22nd until Sunday, February 23rd at noon, tickets can be purchased from 19.99 euros for travel during April. This offer is available on more than 230 routes of the airline.
Thus, during Easter, it will be possible to travel to numerous destinations at prices starting from 20 euros. Many of these can be reached from Alicante-Elche airport, as the Irish airline offers the most flights from El Altet terminal.
TodoAlicante has selected some of the best destinations for an Easter getaway.
Ryanair offers numerous routes to Germany from Alicante-Elche airport. Cities like Cologne, Hamburg, or Nuremberg are some of the major destinations offered by the German nation. However, TodoAlicante has chosen Munich for its blend of culture, leisure, and its great beer tradition.
Located in southern Germany, in the Bavaria region, Ryanair flies to Memmingen, west of Munich, reachable in just over an hour. The third-largest city in Germany combines beautiful medieval streets starting from its 'Marienplatz', where a carillon welcomes tourists at noon. With numerous large green parks, including one with a wave where surfers spend the day, one of the main attractions is its beer, with breweries open since the Middle Ages.
With flights also to Vienna, we have chosen Salzburg as one of the must-see destinations for Easter travel from Alicante. With cheap flights and located on the German border, it combines baroque and medieval buildings with a river that divides the city.
Thus, the major highlight is the Hohensalzburg Fortress, offering stunning views of the river and city centre. The cathedral, Mozart's birthplace, or the Mirabell Palace and its impressive gardens are some of the other activities to enjoy in the Austrian city.
It's always a good time to explore intriguing destinations. The capital of Bulgaria is one of the latest routes opened by Ryanair and one of the cheapest cities in Europe. The main attraction is its Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, with its green and gold domes. The city combines buildings from the communist era of the USSR with Orthodox and Catholic churches, making it a perfect trip for a short getaway.
The capital of Hungary is one of Europe's major destinations. With a spectacular parliament and an imposing castle, exploring the city of bridges is a delight for tourists, who can also learn about the history of a country that transitioned from a great empire to the other side of the Iron Curtain, experiencing tense moments and political upheavals.
The parliament, one of the largest in the world, is a must-see, and viewing it from across the Danube, from the imposing Fisherman's Bastion and Matthias Church, with its orange roofs, is highly recommended. Visiting the ruin bars and experiencing Budapest's nightlife is always a good idea.
One of Poland's gems. Located in the north and by the sea, the city has a fishing and shipbuilding tradition. Its historic centre with colourful houses and medieval squares perfectly complements a large Ferris wheel next to one of its canals, where much of the city's life unfolds and where its most famous street is located. A cheap destination to spend several days during Easter.
A city that needs no introduction. From the Colosseum to the Trevi Fountain, through its countless museums, history exudes from every corner of the Italian capital. A perfect destination for Easter, also allowing a visit to Vatican City, where the Pope holds a mass for Catholics. The city is filled with processions from St. John's Basilica during Easter.
Undoubtedly, the offer from Alicante-Elche airport is extensive, with numerous destinations worth visiting. From Bologna and Turin in Italy to London, Cardiff, or Edinburgh in the United Kingdom, and Lisbon and Porto in Portugal, or Brussels in Belgium.
