Once again, the most utilised pass on the Alicante TRAM was the Free Youth Temporary Pass, which accounted for over 7.2 million journeys, meaning one in every three tram trips was made by young people.
Thus, of the total 20.3 million movements recorded by the TRAM during 2024, 35% were made using the youth transport pass. This pass has led to savings of 5.7 million euros for those under 31, an amount that would have been paid in full without these subsidies.
In this way, the free tram rides for those under 31 and the 50% discount for other travellers have directly influenced the choice of transport passes by metropolitan users.
The second most popular transport pass was the Móbilis Multi-Trip Pass with 6,502,342 trips, representing 31.96% of the total; the third was the single ticket for the TAM zone, which, with 1,354,372 trips, accounted for 6.65%; in fourth place was the Bono 10, with 965,694 trips and 4.74%; and in fifth, the Bono Oro Móbilis Alicante, with 931,574 trips and 4.57% of all network movements.
Following these, the FGV single ticket was used for 787,280 trips, making up 3.87%; the FGV Return Ticket, with 769,385 trips, accounted for 3.78%; the FGV Bono 30, with 433,670 trips, represented 2.13%; the coordinated 30-day pass, with 397,107 trips, made up 1.95%; and in tenth position, the Gent Major Monthly Pass, with 328,001 trips, accounted for 1.61% of the total.
Out of the 20,342,744 trips made in 2024 on trains and trams, 10,866,790 were completed with TRAM d'Alacant's own passes and 9,475,954 with coordinated passes.
