Three individuals—two women and a man—sustained various injuries on Tuesday due to a head-on collision between two vehicles on the Camino Viejo de Santa Pola, three kilometres from Elche (Alicante). One of the occupants was trapped in her vehicle, necessitating extrication by the Provincial Consortium firefighters.
Additionally, the presence of the Emergency Medical Assistance Service (SAMU) and Basic Life Support (SVB) was required to provide medical attention, mobilised from the Emergency Information and Coordination Centre (CICU).
Medical services attended to two women aged 51 and 64, and a 25-year-old man. They suffered multiple contusions and were transported to Elche General Hospital.
The firefighters received the alert at 13:15 and concluded their intervention at 14:26. In response to the incident, a command unit (UMJ), a heavy rural pump (BRP), and a multi-rescue van (FSV) were mobilised, along with a sergeant, a corporal, and five firefighters from the Elche station.
Meanwhile, a 63-year-old man was injured with multiple trauma after a wall collapsed on him in a street in Guardamar del Segura, according to the CICU.
The incident occurred on Tuesday on Elche Street in the town of Guardamar del Segura, where a wall collapsed and fell on a man.
The man, aged 63, was stabilised by a SAMU unit. He suffered multiple trauma and was transported to Torrevieja Hospital in an Advanced Life Support ambulance.
