The new Audi A5 represents a radical change from the previous model, as it will occupy a new position within the German manufacturer's range, replacing the Audi A4. With a length of 4.83 meters and available with a five-door or Avant family body, the new Audi A5 stands out for its dynamic performance, interior quality, and available technology level.

The Audi A5 range consists of petrol engines, mild hybrid versions, and plug-in hybrids. With a petrol engine and C label, there is the 2.0 TFSI engine in two power levels: 150 and 204 HP. With a mild hybrid system, the 2.0 TDI with 204 HP and the high-performance S5 petrol with 367 HP. As for the Audi A5 plug-in hybrid, two versions are offered, one with 299 HP and another with 367 HP, with more than 100 kilometers of range in 100% electric mode.

All Audi A5 models are automatic and, depending on the engine, may feature the quattro all-wheel-drive system.

For this in-depth test, we used the Audi A5 2.0 TDI MHEV plus with 204 HP, a version we found exceptional for its balance between performance and consumption. Additionally, it has the ECO label from the DGT thanks to the mild hybrid system, which is newly developed and, as a novelty for the brand, has the capability to move the car solely with the electric motor.

If you want to know all the details of the new Audi A5 diesel such as its real consumption, acceleration, dynamic response, or interior space, don't miss the video at the top of this article.
