One of the best-kept secrets each year as the Major Festivities of Sant Joan approach has now been revealed. The colors of the official outfits that the Queens and Ladies of Christ 2024 will wear are Lambro Blue, Forest Green, Sky Blue, and Cranberry.
The Commission of Christ of Peace Festivities presented and handed over the official regional outfits this Friday to the three girls and three young women who will hold the title throughout the festive season. The dresses, along with footwear and accessories, were showcased to the public who attended the lobby of the Casa de Cultura, in an event held minutes before the Festivities Concert, where Sant Joan's mayor Santiago Román, Festivities Councilor Charo Tomás, and Festivities Commission President Juliana Giner spoke.
The six outfits that will be worn by the highest festive representatives of Sant Joan d'Alacant have been crafted in Conchi Beneyto's workshop. For their creation, satin fabric from Vives y Marí was used, embroidered in relief with metal and color. The dresses are embroidered with an exclusive design for the representatives of Sant Joan's Major Festivities.
For the 2024 Children's Ladies of Honor dresses, Lucía Gosálbez and Ástrid Giménez, a Lambro Blue color with silver embroidery and flowers in various shades of pink was selected. The 2024 Ladies of Honor, Laura Sanmiguel and Melanie Masanet, will wear a Forest Green color with silver embroidery and flowers in shades of pink and lime green.
Meanwhile, the 2024 Children's Queen of the Festivities, Nerea Fuentes, will wear a Sky Blue dress embroidered with flowers in different shades of pink and three different tones of gold. The Queen of the Santísimo Cristo de la Paz Festivities 2024, Aixa Verdú, will wear a cranberry-colored dress with flowers embroidered in different shades of blue and three different types of metals in relief.
One of the innovations is the change in aprons and shawls, which are made with guipure lace and feature a new design embroidered with silver thread for the Ladies of Honor and embroidered with thread in two shades of gold for the Queens of the Festivities.
The adornments are 18th-century model elaborated in Valencia by silversmith Ortiz Cincelador. They consist of a hair comb, hairpin, choker, cameo, brooch, rosary, and reliquary. Regarding fans, they have been crafted in Superarte's workshop from danta wood with the Spanish artisan fan brand mark and bear each representative's name hand-painted with floral motifs from their dress.
