San Vicente del Raspeig City Council will give the green light on January 29th to the transfer of a plot to the Department of Health for the establishment of the new health centre number 3. The initial approval, which will first go through the committee and then the plenary session, makes available to the regional administration a 5,000 square metre plot bordered by Dalies, les Campanetes, and Sagrat streets, capable of accommodating a building of more than 3,000 square metres constructed.

The mayor, Pachi Pascual, emphasized that with this approval, the final phase of the procedures initiated by the City Council in 2022 is completed, following the Health Department's request to make a plot available. The mayor has stated that "after this step, the Department can now begin drafting the health centre project and subsequently proceed with its construction."

Investment of six million

Pascual expressed his satisfaction "for this significant progress with which we begin the year 2025, giving a definitive boost to much-needed healthcare facilities." The mayor recalled that "after many years of procedures, it was our commitment to the residents of San Vicente to unblock a project that will begin to materialize with the next steps committed by the Department, with whom we work in a coordinated manner to expedite the entire process as much as possible."

With the favourable legal report, the transfer agreement that will be sanctioned at the next ordinary plenary session in January will be sent to the Generalitat for acceptance and formalization by both administrations. It is planned to invest over 6 million euros to enable a health centre that includes, among others, family medicine, paediatrics, nursing, and various specialties.

The City Council had to modify the classification of the two plots of urban land. Both have changed from educational use to health and care use to facilitate the installation of a health centre in an urbanized area suitable for this service. To compensate for the modification recorded in the PGOU, another similar plot located on Jávea street will be dedicated to educational use.
