The Elda Shoe Museum reopens its doors with a renewed style. The modernisation works have concluded, offering an improved exhibition and museum experience.

These renovation works, carried out in recent months, have led to the establishment of a new reception area for visitors, "fully adapted and renewed," explained Elda's mayor, Rubén Alfaro, during the museum visit.

Additionally, the Elda Shoe Museum now features a projection room with a capacity for thirty people, where the legacy of this industry will be showcased and highlighted. A shop area has also been set up, and the exterior graphic image has been revamped.

The modernisation of this space has been made possible "thanks to a nominative agreement" between the Elda City Council and the Shoe Museum, funded with 300,000 euros, detailed Alfaro.

The completed works are part of the Elda 2030 Strategic Plan and the Urban Agenda Plan. The Pattern 1, 'Elda with identity, culture, and projection'. "Today we see one of these actions fulfilled," remarked the mayor, "a priority."

The mayor, accompanied on his visit by the councillors of Presidency, José Antonio Amat, and Museums, Iñaki Pérez, congratulated the Museum team, led by its director Andrea Paños.

This renovation of the "flagship of our heritage" is key to "attracting new visitors" and renewing the exhibition narrative "so that both the general public and professionals can enjoy a new experience."
