The Vice-Rectorate of Culture, Equality, and Diversity of Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH) has organized welcome activities throughout October to showcase the various cultural initiatives that will take place during the 2024/2025 academic year.

The program will start this Tuesday, October 1st, at 2:30 PM, with the presentation and open rehearsal of the Pneuma Vocal Ensemble UMH, open to new members. This activity will take place in the Aula Magna of the Altabix building on the Elche campus.

Welcome activities will continue on October 4th with the exhibition 'The Rebellion of Joy,' located in the Open Cultural Space (ECO) of the Altabix building on the Elche campus. Following this, at 7:00 PM, there will be a presentation of the UMH Diversity Area, with a live broadcast of the podcast The Other Side of the Street, which will cover LGTBI topics ranging from more formal legislative news to more informal and anecdotal news.

For the rest of the month, the university community and the general public can enjoy various activities, including performances by former singers of Misteri d'Elx; exhibitions in different spaces of La Valona building on the Elche campus; workshops such as Introduction to Multilingual Dubbing; guided tours in Altea Get to Know UMH Campuses and Their Towns; presentations of Performing Arts activities on all campuses; a mini concert by the Young Orchestra UMH; Valencian Cinema Cycle; theatrical performance of Mamma Mia; presentation of UMH Book Club, Debate League or Sabiex program, a meeting with different associations, among other things.
