Mercadona continues to enhance its service to the 'boss' (as they internally refer to the customer), improving their shopping experience and satisfaction to ensure they are constantly surprised. Evidence of this can be seen in the latest additions to the Ready-to-Eat section, featuring easy, simple, and fresh dishes perfect for summer, such as chicken poke, seafood salad, and salmon with vegetables.
The chicken poke includes cooked rice, chicken, chickpeas, white cheese, corn, sweet potato, a mix of seeds, and yogurt sauce. Meanwhile, the marinated salmon is accompanied by romesco sauce, rice, and roasted vegetables (zucchini, potato, red pepper, and sweet potato). The seafood salad features pasta, cuttlefish, pickled red onion, prawn, cooked shrimp, vinaigrette, pickled carrot, and black olive. These ready-to-eat dishes are designed for convenient consumption at any time.
These new dishes join other highly demanded options by customers during summer, such as the Russian salad available in different formats and pasta salad.
Additionally, in stores with a Ready-to-Eat section, there is also a cold beverage service—a great option to complement these dishes especially during this time of year. Mercadona offers customers soft drinks, beers, water, and other beverages in various sizes.
Mercadona launched the SPB (Always Low Prices) strategy in 1993 after realizing that the best-selling products were those with maximum quality at the best price—in that order; and their prices did not fluctuate constantly. Throughout these years, the company has continuously committed to quality, which is one of the main challenges faced daily by all departments. This focus represents a clear opportunity to continue offering distinctive products.
