It will be very hot this week. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has already warned that "intense summer heat" is coming, with areas of the peninsula exceeding 35 degrees. The days will be accompanied by torrid nights, with minimums reaching 23 degrees.

This Tuesday, Emergencies of the Valencian Community has activated several warnings for high temperature risks, with maximums that could exceed 35 degrees in a good number of localities. The two that are at medium risk, under orange alert, are Alcosser and l'Alqueria d'Asnar, while up to five regions have yellow warnings: El Comtat, Vega Baja, Marina Alta, Medio Vinalopó, and Alto Vinalopó.

Marina Alta: L'Atzubia, Pego, Tormos, Sagra, El Rafol d'Almunia, El Verger, Els Poblets, Benidoleig, Sanet y Negrals, Ondara, and Beniarbeig.

El Comtat: Alfafara, Cocentaina, Muro de Alcoi, Beniarrés, Gaianes, Benillup, Benimarfull, Gorga, and Benilloba.

Vinalopó: El campo de Mirra, Cañada, Villena, Sax, Salinas, Elda, Monóvar, Pinoso, and Novelda.

Vega Baja: Orihuela, Bigastro, Beniferri, Albatera, Rafal, Benejúzar, Callosa del Segura, Catral, Redován, and Cox.

In light of this temperature rise and considering the midday and afternoon activities, such as the mascletàs, Emergencies have published several heat-related recommendations on their website.

To combat the high daytime temperatures, they insist on staying hydrated and avoiding sugary drinks "which can promote dehydration." Emergencies also stress "being careful with cars and not leaving anyone inside, seeking cool places in the shade, and using appropriate protective creams."

Regarding advice for high nighttime temperatures, they recommend "staying in cool places, wearing light clothing, and being in well-ventilated environments with air conditioning." Additionally, they emphasize "staying hydrated and monitoring the elderly, sick, and children under four years old."
