These are the hands that will dress the 'belleas del foc' of Alicante 2025

With great honour, the Federació de les Fogueres de Sant Joan has appointed the ateliers that will dress the 'belleas del foc' of Alicante 2025. The responsibility has been entrusted to the expert hands of José Santón and Ana Ballester Indumentaria.

Both studios will be responsible for crafting the outfits for the leading representatives of the Hogueras de Alicante for the upcoming term and their dames d'honor, both adults and children.

The ateliers will create the complete outfits, including bodice, skirt, mantilla, and apron, while also guarding the best-kept secret: the espolines of the 'belleas del foc' of Alicante 2025. Only the design of this silk is known, exclusive to the representatives, and its colour will be revealed during the proclamation.

This time, José Santón Atelier returns as the official dressmaker, a role previously held under the name José y Toni; while Ana Ballester receives the commission for the first time.

"We are delighted to once again have the talent of José Santón, who has shown exceptional commitment to this Federation, which is why he is returning for the next term," acknowledged the president of the Federació, David Olivares.

The festival leader also expressed being "very excited" about the inclusion of Ana Ballester, "whose career further enriches the attire of our representatives."

The budget for the official attire of the 'belleas del foc' of Alicante and their dames d'honor 2025 will be presented on November 28, during the assembly where the governing body of the Hogueras de Alicante will present its income and expenditure forecast for the new term.

The race to choose the 'bellea del foc' of Alicante and their dames d'honor for the next term has already begun. The candidates have gathered at the Casa de la Festa for their first meeting, awaiting the jury's selection and appointment, scheduled for December 3.

In the coming months, nearly 80 adult candidates will participate in all the events where their skills and attitudes will be assessed as the leading representatives of the Hogueras de Alicante.

The election of the 'bellea del foc' 2025 will take place on May 3 at the Alicante bullring; while the children's election will be held a day earlier at the same venue. The proclamation will be moved this term to the Town Hall square, with the children's on May 16 and the adults' on May 17.
