These are the two burger joints competing to be the best in Alicante

Alicante is gearing up for the ultimate showdown to reveal the best burger joint in the province. After several rounds among 16 establishments, two have reached the grand finale of the 'Alicante Burger Showdown', which will be held this Sunday, 26th January, at Pit's Food Dealer, located at the Gran Vía roundabout.

The two burger joints participating in this final round, in a '1 vs 1' format, are The Vic Bros Burger and Dripping Burger. Both will compete - in this contest organised by Joe Burgerchallenge and Zampi News - to earn the title of the best in Alicante.

To achieve this, they will sharpen their knives while heating up the grills. On them, they will cook the ingredients to create two entirely new burgers, the result of which will determine the best burger joint in the province of Alicante.

The public will serve as the jury, awarding this emblem through their votes. This is how the knockout rounds have also functioned, leading up to the grand finale. Diners will taste these burgers and vote for their favourite.

For this purpose, Pit's Food Dealer will remain open from 12:30 to 23:00. Attendees must purchase their tickets online for 25 euros, which includes the two finalist burgers: The Vic Bros Burger and Dripping Burger; to be enjoyed fresh from the kitchen and thus deliver the final verdict.

The qualifying rounds leading up to this Sunday's grand finale on 26th January began last September in Alicante. During various sessions, Alicante's palates have tasted the 16 proposals to establish the two best burgers, which will face off to decide the public's favourite.

This contest kicked off with a wildcard round on 4th September, featuring 16 establishments from the province. A month later, the round of 16 was held with these Alicante burger joints. The list was narrowed down to eight during the quarter-finals.

The semi-final to reach the final stage in the competition to become the best burger joint in Alicante was held on 4th December, with matches between Dripping Burger and Finsbury Burger Social, and The Vic Bros Burger with Aires Burger Bar.

With scores of 9.63 and 8.89 points, respectively, the burgers from Dripping Burger and The Vic Bros Burger will face off this Sunday, 26th January, to become the best in the province of Alicante.
