In recent years, the second-hand car market has experienced a significant price increase. This is due to a growing demand from those who prefer to buy used vehicles over new ones. Additionally, many owners are surprised to discover that their well-maintained cars retain a high resale value.

In this situation, the car comparison tool Carwow, which has a network of more than 1,200 official dealers across Spain, has compiled a list of five vehicles that, despite having less than 200,000 kilometers, stand out for maintaining their resale value intact.

Volkswagen Tiguan (2008-2015)

The Volkswagen Tiguan (2008-2015) is an SUV that has maintained its appeal, with a resale price between 10,000 and 18,000 euros. Thanks to its robust construction and versatility, it remains a popular choice. Equipped with engines like the 2.0 TDI with 140 HP, and the option to choose between front-wheel or all-wheel drive, the Tiguan has stood out for its good performance both on the road and in more challenging terrains, which has contributed to its value retention over time.

BMW X3 (2011-2017)

Another standout model is the BMW X3 (2011-2017), with a price ranging between 11,000 and 22,000 euros in the second-hand market. This medium SUV is appreciated for its xDrive20d diesel engine with 184 HP, offering low fuel consumption and efficient response. Additionally, its interior still features advanced characteristics, such as an 8.8-inch screen and a head-up display system, which have helped maintain its high resale value.

Toyota Land Cruiser (2007-2015)

The Toyota Land Cruiser (2007-2015), on the other hand, remains a benchmark in durability and off-road capability. With a resale price ranging from 18,000 to 40,000 euros, this vehicle is highly sought after by those who value its all-wheel drive capability and robustness in difficult terrains. Even with more than 300,000 kilometers, it remains a very popular option in the second-hand car market.

MINI Cooper 5-door (2015-2018)

The MINI Cooper 5-door (2015-2018) also stands out for its ability to retain its value, with prices ranging from 11,000 to 22,000 euros. This small car, with its characteristic design and Cooper S engine with 192 HP, combines style and agility, making it a preferred option for many young drivers looking for a compact car with a fun driving experience.

SEAT Mii Electric (2019-2022)

Finally, the SEAT Mii Electric (2019-2022), with a second-hand price between 12,000 and 18,000 euros, is an ideal option for those looking for an affordable electric car for the city. Although it stopped being manufactured in 2022, it remains an attractive alternative due to its compact size, 269-kilometer range, and quiet handling, making it a practical and efficient vehicle for urban commuting.
