The changes to the Volkswagen Golf 8.5 also affected the most radical version of the Golf GTI range, the Clubsport, although in this case there was no increase in power, remaining at 300 HP.
The Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport is equipped with a four-cylinder, two-litre engine that develops 300 HP and delivers 400 Nm of maximum torque. Coupled with a DSG automatic gearbox that transmits all the power to the front axle, the new Golf GTI Clubsport accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 km/h. The approved average consumption is 7.5 l/100 km.
In addition to greater power, the Clubsport differs from the standard GTI with a more radical chassis setup. It also replaces the Garrett turbo with one from Continental (the same used by the Golf R) and features a different exhaust system with the option to fit one from specialist Akrapovic.
There are also exterior differences, with a specific bumper, a larger spoiler, exclusive design wheels in 18 or 19 inches, and side decals.
The starting price of the Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport 2025 is 48,590 euros.
