The MG Cyberster is a two-seater convertible measuring 4.5 meters in length with a fully electric propulsion system. It's a rather unique car with few direct competitors in the market, as its closest rivals in terms of body type, such as the Jaguar F-Type or the Porsche 718 Boxster, use combustion engines.
The MG Cyberster is available in two versions. The entry-level model features a single 340 HP motor that drives the rear axle, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5 seconds. The all-wheel-drive version adds a second 204 HP motor to the front axle, bringing the total power to 510 HP. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 200 km/h.
With a 77 kWh battery capacity, the MG Cyberster offers a range of 507 kilometers in the rear-wheel-drive version and 443 km in the all-wheel-drive version. The maximum charging power is 144 kW, allowing the battery to go from 10% to 80% charge in 40 minutes.
The interior of the MG Cyberster stands out for its quality of fittings and materials and features up to four screens: three for instrumentation and a seven-inch vertical screen that controls various functions such as climate control, door opening, and even shutting down the car.
We tested the Cyberster on a track, analyzing and verifying its reactions, as well as its acceleration and consumption figures. The video provides all the details.
