Terra Natura and Aqua Natura Benidorm are launching a new edition of their summer educational programme, running from June 23 to September 5. This year, a new campus aimed at teenagers is being introduced. This proposal, established as one of the most comprehensive on the Costa Blanca, combines responsible leisure with learning in contact with nature, under the supervision of expert staff.

The project is unveiled as the school year ends, offering two distinct programmes based on age: the Summer School for children aged 4 to 11, and the Teen Campus for those aged 12 to 16. In both cases, activities are designed to promote coexistence, critical thinking, respect, and empathy towards the environment. Participants will learn, in a fun and engaging way, about the curiosities and characteristics of the fauna and flora from different continents represented in the park. This methodology enhances their capacity for empathy, respect, and solidarity, not only towards animals but also towards the natural environment and society in general.

Among the educational proposals, direct contact with the park's biodiversity stands out, through visits to the indoor shelters of species such as rhinos, elephants, or primates, participation in environmental enrichment workshops, or getting closer to the daily work in the park's veterinary clinic. These experiences allow participants to closely understand the operation of a modern zoo committed to conservation, like Terra Natura Benidorm, which actively participates in breeding programmes for endangered species within the EAZA.

The programme also includes educational games, activities in English, and dynamics that reinforce curricular content related to natural sciences. At Aqua Natura Benidorm, the playful component is enhanced with proposals such as swimming with a monofin or interacting with sea lions, without losing sight of the awareness aspect about marine protection. Additionally, in the water park, the youngest become ocean guardians through dynamics that include the experience of being a mermaid or merman, always with an educational component oriented towards respect and protection of the marine environment.

Personalised attention to each participant and constant communication with families remain fundamental pillars of this initiative, supported by the experience of a professional team specialised in childhood, environmental education, and leisure.
