Terra Mítica opens its doors in a very special year: the Costa Blanca theme park celebrates its 25th anniversary with numerous innovations.
Since last Friday, the leisure complex has introduced a new large-scale show in the Las Islas area. The "Circus of Butterflies" adds to the park's diverse show offerings with an emotional story, impressive circus acts, and a striking stage production.
With the arrival of summer, the innovations continue: in the Iberia area, the "Isla de Assina" is inaugurated, a new water zone of nearly 2,000 square meters with two towers of slides of different characteristics, designed to satisfy both children and young audiences. During the high season, the park's flagship show, "Barbarroja," also returns. The feared pirate comes back with a revamped version of his legendary show, promising an exciting adventure filled with special effects, confrontations, and good humour.
This season, Terra Mítica introduces a solar self-consumption system, committing to sustainability and energy efficiency. The solar plant at Terra Mítica consists of 9,000 solar modules, totaling a capacity of five megawatts. This will generate over 4,900 megawatt-hours annually, equivalent to the consumption of nearly 2,000 homes, resulting in savings of more than 60% of the park's usual consumption. This also prevents the emission of over 1.3 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere each year.
