Pasan las semanas y el Hércules aún no ha cerrado las renovaciones de Carlos Abad y Javi Moreno, dos de sus pilares. Ambos acaban contrato en junio y las negociaciones sigue fraguándose a fuego lento, pero sin que aún hay acuerdos. El técnico blanquiazul Rubén Torrecilla no se muestra especialmente preocupado por el asunto, pero sí ha reconocido que ambos tienen cada vez más novias: «Es normal, están haciendo una temporada extraordinaria y tienen propuestas muy buenas de Primera RFEF y no sé si alguna de Segunda... Yo hablo mucho con ellos y les digo que valoren bien dónde están, aquí en Alicante son felices, han conseguido ser futbolistas y eso ya lo llevan ganado. Ojalá sigan el año que viene».

Torrecilla afirmó este viernes que el Hércules debe mantener la mentalidad «de que puede luchar por todo» en el tramo final del campeonato, a pesar de que sus opciones de disputar la fase de ascenso son remotas. «No debemos mirar al futuro, sino al presente. Ganando al Alcorcón se verá de otra manera», comentó el técnico cacereño, que aseguró que mientras él esté al frente del equipo ningún jugador bajará los brazos.
