Television Blackout in Alicante Municipality This Thursday

The public telecommunications operator of the Generalitat Valenciana, Infraestructures i Serveis de Telecomunicacions i Certificació (Istec), will carry out a technological upgrade of the Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) transmitter equipment in La Vila Joiosa this Thursday. The aim, as explained by the Town Hall, is to improve the quality of the signal received on televisions. As part of this upgrade, the national multiplexes MPE4 and MPE5 will be broadcast, which include channels such as Boing, Energy, Mega, Trece, Atreseries, BeMad TV, Real Madrid TV, and Ten.

For this purpose, on Thursday, May 29, from 10:00 to 13:00, the technological upgrade of the transmission centre located in the town of Finestrat, which covers the municipality, will be carried out. Consequently, there will be an interruption of DTT broadcasting during this time. Once the work is completed, users will need to rescan their televisions.
