Finally, Taylor Swift will not be required to testify as a witness in the trial involving Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. This decision comes after the director of 'Breaking the Circle' withdrew the request last Thursday, acknowledging the close friendship between Swift and Lively. Baldoni's legal team had based their request on alleged messages that Lively had sent to Swift, urging her to publicly support her in the legal battle against the director. In this context, Baldoni's co-star's lawyer submitted a letter to the court claiming that Lively had threatened to release private messages with the singer, a document that has now been withdrawn.
While Lively's legal representatives celebrate the news, the friendship between the singer and the actress seems to have deteriorated. A source close to the artists revealed to the 'Daily Mail' that "they are no longer friends" and that, although she no longer has to testify, "if Taylor could wish for anything, it would be never having met Blake." "When Taylor reflects on their friendship, she realises it wasn't worth all the stress Blake caused her. She can now see all the warning signs that should have served as a caution," the source added. Both Taylor and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, are reportedly "upset with Blake and Ryan" for "how they tried to use Taylor in their fight against Justin Baldoni."
