Susana Camarero replaces Ruth Merino as Consell spokesperson

Susana Camarero, the Vice President of the Consell and Minister of Social Services, Equality, and Housing, will become the new spokesperson for the Consell, replacing the Minister of Finance, Economy, and Public Administration, Ruth Merino, who has held the position until now, as announced by the Generalitat Valenciana in a statement.

"In the coming days, more details will be revealed about the changes in the Consell, which will have a new structure adapted to the economic and social recovery plan of the Valencian Community following the consequences of the October 29 flood," stated the Generalitat.

The last Friday, President Carlos Mazón announced, during his appearance in Les Corts, that the new structure of the Consell will include a transversal vice presidency to coordinate the economic and social reconstruction efforts of Valencia and a Ministry of Emergencies and Interior "focused on responding to crisis situations in a swift and coordinated manner, with prevention competencies to protect and ensure the safety of Valencians," the statement concludes.
