The Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, stated this Saturday—from a secret location where he has hidden for fear of Hebrew reprisals—that "the rabid Zionist dog," referring to Israel, is "too small" to cause significant damage to the Lebanese Shiite militia party Hezbollah.
In a statement released shortly after Israel announced the death of Hezbollah's Secretary-General, Hassan Nasrallah, in an airstrike on Beirut, he added that "the Zionist criminals should know they are too small to cause significant damage to Hezbollah's strong structure in Lebanon."
Khamenei accused Israel of "killing defenseless people again," which "reveals the brutal nature of the Zionists and demonstrates the shortsighted and stupid policy of the leaders of the usurping regime." "The mass murder of women, children, and civilians does not affect the resistance," he emphasized.
The Iranian leader also stressed that "the resistance forces throughout the region are with Hezbollah and support it." "The fate of this region will be decided by the resistance forces, with proud Hezbollah at the forefront," he highlighted.
Khamenei also recalled that Israel "once had soldiers on their way to Beirut" and that "it was Hezbollah who cut off their leg and made Lebanon beloved and proud." "Even today, Lebanon will make the aggressor regret it," he warned.
In fact, he emphasized that "all Muslims have an obligation to proudly support the people of Lebanon and Hezbollah with their resources and help to confront the usurping, cruel, and evil regime," in a new reference to Israel.
