Música, humour, theatre, and open-air cinema in Mutxamel offer the best way to enjoy the warm summer nights. The Town Hall of L'Alacantí has organised a comprehensive programme catering to all tastes and ages across different city venues, ensuring something for everyone. The 'Summer in Mutxamel' schedule, running from June to August, aims to "bring culture to the neighbourhoods and decentralise activities to reach as many residents as possible," according to municipal sources.

The programme will take place at various locations in the municipality, such as El Canyar de les Portelles Park, the House of Culture, Plaça Nova, Plaça de San Roc, Plaça del Poble Nou, Bonalba, and the Social Centre of the 'La Huerta' Urbanisation.

The most anticipated event is perhaps the 'Nights in the Park' series, which promises a strong line-up this year: Juan Dávila will perform for three consecutive days (11th, 12th, and 13th June) with his show 'The Palace of Sin' at El Canyar de les Portelles Park, followed by the humour of 'Comandante Lara' on 15th June at the same venue (tickets available at www.comandantelara.es).

July kicks off with a nostalgic proposal: on the 5th, at 9 pm, the L'Aliança Musical Society will headline the musical show 'I Also Went to EGB', filling El Canyar Park with memories and fun. The much-awaited 'By the Light of the Moon' series begins on 11th July with a Queen tribute concert; on 12th July, Lorenzo Santamaría and Fórmula V will take the stage. The Consortium will close this musical series on 13th July, also at El Canyar de les Portelles Park (tickets available at www.entradas.com).

On 11th July, at 8 pm, the 'Les Arts with You' concert will be held at the Auditorium of the House of Culture, part of the series offered by the Palau de les Arts, designed to bring culture to various spaces and municipalities. That day will also see the opening of the cosplay exhibition 'Handmade Costumes and Photographs' in the Exhibition Hall of the House of Culture, which will remain open until 24th July.

Musically, on 18th July at 9 pm, the S.M. L'Aliança Youth Band will present their summer festival at Plaça Sant Roc. On 19th July at 10 pm, rock will take centre stage with the 'Stambrook with Whirlwind Storm' concerts at El Canyar Park. On 20th July at 9 pm, soul will be the highlight of the night with the 'Through the Soul' show by Jarana Blues.

Children's theatre returns with 'The Mystery of the Enchanted Library' on 17th July at 8 pm in Plaça Nova. Poetry will have its moment on 27th July at 8 pm with the Valencian recital 'Verses in the Garden' at Plaça de Sant Roc. The visual arts will be represented by the Plaça d'Art initiative, which will take place on 25th July at 7 pm with a display of crafts and music.

The 'Sounds of the Assut' Percussion Festival will be held on 24th July at 8:30 pm in Plaça Nova, reinforcing the municipality's commitment to world music and citizen participation.

Open-air cinema will once again be a highlight of the summer nights. On 20th July at 10 pm, 'Inside Out 2' will be screened at Plaça del Poble Nou; on 1st August at 10 pm, the film will be 'The Benetton Family' at the municipal sports courts of the Bonalba Urbanisation (C/Ressol, 6); and on 10th August at 10 pm, 'Despicable Me 4' will be shown at the La Huerta Sociocultural Centre (C/Del Pi).

The Councillor for Culture, Maria Loreto Riera, stated that "with 'Culture in Summer' we want all the residents of Mutxamel to enjoy a quality and very accessible programme. We have prepared activities designed for all audiences, promoting access to culture in every corner of the municipality and turning summer into an opportunity to meet and share."

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Mutxamel, Rafael García Berenguer, highlighted that "Mutxamel is a lively, dynamic municipality committed to culture. Not only in summer but throughout the year, we work to offer a varied programme that caters to the diverse interests of our citizens and contributes to the social and cultural development of the municipality. 'Summer in Mutxamel' is yet another example of this ongoing commitment to culture as a community driver. Additionally, we are fortunate that some activities promoted by prominent artistic and cultural companies continue to choose our municipality to host diverse and quality shows, allowing our residents to enjoy them in a unique and family-friendly environment like Mutxamel."
