Line 2 of the Alicante Tram has halted traffic along its entire route. A vehicle stopped on the tram tracks has forced FGV to block the various routes planned for the early hours of this Monday.
According to the public company, a vehicle is obstructing the track, and the tram on line 2, heading to San Vicente del Raspeig, has been stopped near the University of Alicante.
This incident, occurring around 9:53 a.m. this Monday, has caused the service to be suspended, as it is impossible for the Alicante Tram convoys to travel in either direction.
The vehicle has accessed the tram platform, according to sources from TodoAlicante. Its presence occupies both tracks, surrounded by grass. Due to this infrastructure, the car cannot exit on its own, requiring a tow truck to clear the path.
FGV has emphasized that line 2 of the Tram has suspended all convoys to and from Luceros station, the final stop on the route to the city of Alicante. Until the vehicle is removed, the Tram between Ciudad Jardín and San Vicente in both directions is halted.
This incident adds to the extended strike day that occurred this Monday.
