Economy, Trade and Business Minister Carlos Cuerpo explained on Thursday after the Council of Ministers that the average compensation "already being paid" by insurers for vehicles affected by DANA amounts to around 7,800 euros on average.
Furthermore, the government official clarified that these insurance payments will be "compatible" with the 5,000-euro aid for a new vehicle, if it is combustion or non-plug-in hybrid, or 10,000 euros if they are electrified.
In addition to these "official" aids, various manufacturers are also providing assistance to help those affected return to normalcy as soon as possible.
Thus, the Stellantis group has announced a series of complementary measures to the aid package recently announced by the Government, designed to offer immediate support and practical mobility solutions to those whose vehicles have been damaged by this disaster.
These measures allow citizens to purchase new and used vehicles from all Stellantis brands (Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Citroën, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Jeep, Lancia, Leapmotor, Opel, and Peugeot) under the same economic conditions as their employees:
Specifically, when purchasing a new vehicle, a discount of up to 30% can be obtained. When purchasing a used vehicle, up to 1,500€ discount, including more than 5,000 units in stock that Stellantis makes available in Valencia for immediate delivery.
Additionally, there is the possibility of receiving a free Wallbox Charger with the purchase of an electrified vehicle (100% electric or plug-in hybrid).
Moreover, Stellantis will offer those affected by DANA exclusive financing conditions through Stellantis Financial Services Spain, with a 4-month grace period from the vehicle purchase date, and interest rates of 2.99% for BEV vehicles and 4.99%* for ICE, without the need for a minimum initial payment.
The group also adds a free courtesy car in case of delay in the delivery of their vehicle.
To access these aids, interested individuals can visit the commercial network of Stellantis brands or request information by calling 91 347 22 41 or online through the Brand stores with the promotional code B2EDANA. For used vehicles, check the available stock at spoticar-dana.es.
The Spanish Association of Automobile and Truck Manufacturers (Anfac) has positively evaluated the recent 'Reinicia Auto' aid plan for vehicle purchases implemented by the Government and the Ministry of Industry and Tourism for those affected by DANA in Valencia.
This association appreciates the work done by the Government and the Ministry of Industry "for their swift resolution and the extensive provision to help those affected in Valencia."
Anfac has highlighted "the diversity and technological inclusivity of the program," as it explains it covers all technologies available in the market, from electric vehicles to hybrids and internal combustion, including cars, vans, light trucks, and also affected motorcycles.
"As is desirable, the greatest support is maintained for electrified vehicles, and the breadth of technologies ensures that all consumers affected by the disaster can benefit, regardless of their technological preferences," adds the association.
In this regard, Anfac has requested the Government to also consider implementing aid for heavy vehicles that have been affected.
The manufacturers' association also emphasizes the speed with which this plan has been implemented, which "has been a positive point," as it will allow those affected to access the aids quickly and without unnecessary delays through the application provided by the Ministry.
Similarly, the association highlights that this aid plan will be reinforced with efforts made by the brands in recent weeks to facilitate the rapid recovery of mobility for all those affected.
