Stellantis extends car warranty up to eight years

Stellantis Spain has launched a free warranty extension programme for passenger cars of its Peugeot, Citroën, Opel, and DS brands. With this initiative, the automotive group aims to provide greater peace of mind to customers, enhancing the reliability and residual value of their vehicles.

The warranty extension, which can reach up to 8 years or 160,000 kilometres, is activated automatically without additional procedures, provided the owner regularly performs scheduled maintenance at authorised workshops within Stellantis' official network.

The programme includes two levels of coverage: a Standard level for Peugeot, Citroën, and Opel (based on the manufacturer's standard warranty), and a special Premium level for DS Automobiles that includes infotainment, roadside assistance, and a courtesy car. This warranty extension is transferable to a new owner in the event of a sale and applies to both thermal and electric engines.

With this measure, Stellantis Spain aims to ensure that vehicles are always inspected by specialised technicians, resulting in fewer breakdowns and a higher resale value, according to the brands.

Additionally, the free warranty of up to 8 years can be enhanced with a series of flexible benefits and solutions tailored to customer needs, such as maintenance contracts that can be purchased and financed along with the vehicle. It also includes transparent pricing and special offers aimed at vehicles over 3 years old for both regular and extraordinary maintenance interventions.
