Antonio Filosa takes on a dual and crucial responsibility within Stellantis' organisational structure: he will be the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the Americas and, simultaneously, the Chief Quality Officer of the automotive group. Additionally, he will be part of the Interim Executive Committee, granting him a direct role in the global direction and oversight of Stellantis.
Filosa, who has previously held significant roles such as CEO of the Jeep brand and COO for South America, brings extensive experience in the sector. According to Stellantis, "his professional career is distinguished by his deep knowledge in purchasing and manufacturing operations, as well as in business management and global strategy."
Filosa joined the former Fiat Group in 1999, where he progressively took on increasing responsibilities, including the management of the Betim plant (Brazil) and the Head of Purchasing for the Latin American region. Subsequently, between 2016 and 2018, he led operations in Argentina and directed the Alfa Romeo and Maserati brands for Latin America. Since March 2018, he has held the position of COO for the Latin American region of FCA and was a member of the FCA Group Executive Council.
Antonio Filosa is an engineer by training, graduated from the Politecnico di Milano (Italy), which complements his career in the management and strategy of the automotive industry. Stellantis supports his appointment because "it strengthens Stellantis' leadership structure to face challenges and opportunities in key markets such as the Americas, as well as to ensure quality in all its global operations."
