Mutxamel will celebrate the second edition of 'Viure Mutxamel' next Sunday, November 24, from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Old Slaughterhouse area (Serra Grossa street). This morning event is organized by the City Council's Departments of Citizen Participation and Sports to promote a healthy lifestyle, sports activities, and the importance of volunteering.
The program, aimed at all audiences, will feature stands offering various workshops and activities depending on the type of entity. There will also be a presence of the associative fabric of the municipality and region with the participation of eleven local sports clubs: Mutxamel CF, Monnegre CF, Mutxamel Benifutsal, Volleyball Club, Athletics, Chess, Taekwondo, Tennis, Softball, Rugby, Valencian Pilota, Basketball, and the Agility Gos Canine Club.
The municipal and regional associative fabric will be represented by the Yoga and Music Association, ECCA Social, Alhistorias – Avista de Pluma, Grup de Danses CRESOL from Alicante, Muixeranga d'Alacant, AACC Mutxamel-San Juan, Adopta2 – Family Group, Musical Group La Llàgrima, Alicante Family Association, Bahai's Women Association, Slavutich Association, DAJLA Association – Solidarity with the Sahrawi People, Bonsai Club, Brotherhood of the Sentence, and Templars Group.
In addition to the offerings of the various participating entities, there will be an area where you can enjoy a climbing wall and zip line. At 12:30 PM, there will be a magic show for both adults and children, and areas to practice different sports.
The Councilor for Sports and Citizen Participation, José Ángel Pérez, stated that "it is an activity aimed at family enjoyment, but also at highlighting the importance of the great associative fabric in the municipality in all areas, whether social or sports. Mutxamel is a town where all sports disciplines can be practiced, and that is a source of pride. We are an active municipality where many activities are organized, and part of the prominence lies with both the sports clubs and the associations."
The mayor, Rafael García Berenguer, highlighted "the great work done by the social and sports entities of Mutxamel. They work without expecting anything in return, for the love of a sport, to achieve goals, to improve people's daily lives, and that is undoubtedly a source of pride as a town. We can say that we have a strong associative fabric that continues to grow year after year. We hope that this morning of coexistence, sports, and associationism will serve to make themselves known and that the entities can see interest from the citizens, thus continuing to expand their memberships, which will allow them to continue working for the most important thing, the people."
