Alicante deploys more than fifty special services to handle cleaning and waste collection during the pilgrimage to the Santa Faz. Mechanised teams with blowers and sweepers, workers on foot, and mobile platforms for cleaning and emptying bins and containers work hard to shine the entire route, from the co-cathedral of San Nicolás to the Caserío and its surroundings.
On the day of Santa Faz, the cleaning operation will be reinforced throughout the day, from morning until late at night, both in areas near the Monastery and in Playa San Juan, especially on Avenida de Niza with 51 workers and 34 vehicles. Here, the 0.0 party for young people will be held. In the beach areas, efforts will be made to ensure that the roads and sand are clean and in perfect condition, especially as this year coincides with the May bank holiday, where a full house is expected on the beaches.

Cleaning tasks this Thursday will begin at two in the morning around the Monastery, as well as in Playa San Juan, where tractors will sift the sand to ensure it is in perfect condition for beachgoers the next day. In the days following Santa Faz, a review will be conducted at the Monastery and its surroundings, and the containers will be emptied, removed from the wastelands and Avenida de Denia.
Prior to the pilgrimage celebration, cleaning of the various spaces, paths, and fields near the Monastery of Santa Faz has been carried out. This special service involved the work of 15 operators, including personnel on foot and drivers for the two platform vehicles responsible for installing 140 containers of 1,100 litres in nearby esplanades and other adjacent areas throughout the Pilgrim's route.
The professionals from Netial have previously carried out mechanical sweeping and washing of the entire route and surroundings of Santa Faz, ensuring the route is in the best condition. Additionally, two rear-loading press trucks have been allocated for emptying the 1,100-litre containers and cleaning all the surroundings.
